Roles and responsibilities
Project Delivery Systems Engineer - PDS Function – As a Project Systems Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting the development, configuration, and implementation of project delivery systems across engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) projects. Reporting to the Director of Project Systems Delivery, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration and optimization of advanced digital tools, driving efficiency and effectiveness in project execution.
This role will have the following key responsibilities:
System Implementation & Support:
- Assist in the configuration, deployment, and support of project delivery systems, including tools for project management, engineering, procurement, construction, and project controls.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system compatibility and alignment with project requirements.
Data Architecture & Integration:
- Maintain and update system architecture and data flow diagrams for assigned project mandates.
- Facilitate the integration of systems such as SmartPlant, Aveva, EcoSys, and others to enable seamless data sharing and process efficiency.
Training & User Adoption:
- Provide technical guidance and training to project teams, ensuring effective utilization of tools and systems.
- Act as the point of contact for troubleshooting and system-related inquiries, enhancing user confidence and proficiency.
Performance Monitoring:
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of implemented systems, collecting feedback to drive continuous improvement.
- Assist in developing performance metrics and dashboards to measure system success.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Work closely with IT, project delivery teams, and external suppliers to ensure system alignment with organizational goals.
- Engage with technology providers to stay updated on emerging tools and innovations that can enhance project delivery capabilities.
- Act as a subject matter expert and a trusted advisor, providing guidance and insights on project delivery strategies and best practices;
- Establish and maintain the PMO community of practice for systems throughout Kent operations to share lessons learned, best practices and provide support where needed.
Documentation & Best Practices:
- Develop and maintain system documentation, including procedures, workflows, and user manuals.

Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience:
Qualification/ Certification:
- Degree in Systems Engineering/Information Management or relevant experience
- Advanced degree is desirable.
Skills / Experience:
- Extensive experience in project delivery systems, including selection, configuration of industry leading systems such as Aveva, Hexagon, oracle and Ecosys and other leading project delivery systems applications;
- Minimum of 5-10 years of experience of similar role
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful project delivery systems that enhance project execution encompassing digital solution, and new technology;
- Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills and able to communicate with peers, customers, and vendors at all levels.
