Job Description
Position: Quantity Surveyor Oil & Gas
Location: Dubai United Arab Emirates
Contract Details: Fulltime
Education: Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering
Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry with a strong background in Fabrication Modular Building and EPC projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct quantity takeoffs and prepare cost estimates for projects in the Oil & Gas industry including Fabrication Modular Building and EPC projects.
Review and analyze project drawings specifications and contracts to identify potential cost savings and value engineering opportunities.
Prepare and submit progress reports cost reports and other project documentation to clients and project managers.
Monitor project costs and budgets and provide regular updates to project managers and stakeholders.
Collaborate with project teams to identify potential risks and opportunities and develop mitigation strategies.
Review and negotiate change orders and variations with clients and subcontractors.
Conduct site visits and inspections to verify quantities and ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
Prepare and maintain accurate records of all project costs including labor materials and equipment.
Review and evaluate subcontractor bids and proposals and make recommendations to project managers.
Participate in project meetings and provide technical expertise and support to project teams.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry with a strong background in Fabrication Modular Building and EPC projects.
Strong knowledge of quantity surveying principles techniques and methods.
Experience with cost estimating budgeting and cost control.
Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Proficient in using quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
Fluency in English both written and verbal.
