Job Description

Roles and responsibilities

  • Translating business questions and concerns into specific analytical questions that can be answered with available data using BI tools; produce the required data when it is not available.
  • Create global standard metrics across regions and perform benchmark analysis.
  • Ensure data quality throughout all stages of acquisition and processing, including such areas as data sourcing/collection, ground truth generation, normalization, transformation, cross-lingual alignment/mapping, etc.
  • Communicate proposals and results in a clear manner backed by data and coupled with actionable conclusions to drive business decisions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues from multidisciplinary science, engineering and business backgrounds.
  • Develop efficient data querying and modeling infrastructure.
  • Manage your own process. Prioritize and execute on high impact projects, triage external requests, and ensure to deliver projects in time.
  • Utilizing code (SQL, Python, R, Scala, etc.) for analyzing data and building statistical models.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
  • Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
  • Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift
  • Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets

    • Research and identify new business opportunities, potential clients, markets, and product/service lines.
    • Conduct market analysis and competitor research to understand trends, customer preferences, and opportunities for growth.
    • Create and pursue strategies to expand the business in new geographical locations or sectors.
  • Building and Maintaining Relationships:

    • Build and maintain relationships with new and existing clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
    • Engage with key stakeholders, including potential partners, investors, and decision-makers, to promote the company’s offerings.
    • Maintain a network of business contacts to identify opportunities and collaborate on mutually beneficial ventures.
  • Lead Generation and Qualification:

    • Generate high-quality leads through networking, industry events, referrals, and outreach.
    • Qualify leads to ensure they meet the company’s business criteria before pursuing them in-depth.
    • Use CRM tools to track leads, opportunities, and progress through the sales pipeline.
  • Negotiating and Closing Deals:

    • Lead negotiations with potential clients and partners, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.
    • Draft and present proposals, contracts, and pricing agreements.
    • Close business deals by converting opportunities into signed contracts and ensuring seamless handoff to implementation teams.
  • Sales and Revenue Growth:

    • Meet and exceed sales targets and revenue goals by driving new business and maximizing existing client relationships.
    • Develop sales strategies to improve conversion rates, shorten sales cycles, and increase profitability.
    • Work closely with sales teams to implement business development strategies and ensure consistent growth.
  • Collaborating with Internal Teams:

    • Work with the marketing team to develop marketing strategies, campaigns, and messaging that align with business development efforts.
    • Collaborate with product development and operations teams to ensure that business offerings meet market demands.
    • Share customer feedback and market insights with internal teams to enhance product offerings and customer service.
  • Business Planning and Strategy Development:

    • Develop and execute short- and long-term business development plans, with a focus on achieving company goals.
    • Provide reports on progress toward business development objectives, market trends, and opportunities for growth.
    • Monitor KPIs to track the success of business development efforts and adjust strategies as needed.
