  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
  • Assist in investigating incidents and supporting legal or insurance matters when required.
  • Participate in training sessions to keep up with the latest security systems and practices.

What we need from you:

  • Familiarity with security systems, alarm systems, and CCTV equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent observation skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions in emergency situations.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Desired candidate profile

1. Monitoring CCTV Cameras

  • Live Surveillance: Continuously monitoring the video feeds from CCTV cameras positioned throughout the premises to detect suspicious activity or security breaches.
  • Incident Detection: Identifying and reacting to security events or irregularities, such as unauthorized access, theft, or any other form of misconduct.
  • Recording and Storing Footage: Ensuring that video footage is being properly recorded and stored for future reference or investigation. This includes checking for any recording malfunctions and ensuring the footage is retained as required by company policy or law.

2. Operation and Maintenance of CCTV Equipment

  • Camera Control: Operating pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) cameras to adjust views and zoom in on areas of interest when needed. Ensuring that cameras are positioned correctly for optimal coverage.
  • Troubleshooting: Identifying technical issues with the CCTV system such as malfunctioning cameras, broken screens, or recording problems. Reporting issues to the technical team or repairing minor faults when possible.
  • System Upgrades and Updates: Assisting with the installation of new cameras, upgrading software, or upgrading systems to improve the quality of surveillance and security.

3. Data Management and Record Keeping

  • Footage Retrieval: When required, retrieving specific footage based on dates, times, or locations for internal use or investigations. This includes managing video footage archives.
  • Log Maintenance: Maintaining logs of security incidents, such as suspicious activity, accidents, or emergencies that were observed on the CCTV system, and providing these logs to management or relevant authorities as needed.
  • Data Privacy Compliance: Ensuring that CCTV footage is handled in accordance with data privacy laws, such as GDPR, to protect individuals' rights and privacy. Footage should be accessed and shared only by authorized personnel.

4. Coordinating with Security Teams

  • Incident Reporting: Immediately reporting any suspicious activity, emergency situations, or crimes to on-site security personnel, management, or local authorities. Ensuring that they have all the necessary information, including video footage, to address the situation.

5. Ensuring System Integrity

  • System Monitoring: Regularly checking the functionality of all CCTV cameras, ensuring they are operational and provide clear footage. Monitoring for potential system malfunctions or camera misalignment.
  • Camera Positioning: Ensuring that all cameras are positioned to capture key areas such as entrances, hallways, parking lots, or high-risk zones, and adjusting them if necessary to maintain complete coverage.
  • Preventing Tampering: Ensuring that the CCTV system is secure from tampering or unauthorized access. This includes ensuring that physical and digital security measures are in place.
