Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:
- Managing daily sales activities and coaching your team to deliver to their full potential
- Hitting all personal and team sales goals to help us maximise profitability
- Creating and implementing sales plans that drive measurable incremental occupancy, increase average rates, increase volume, food and beverage and banquet sales
- Producing and reviewing monthly reports to monitor performance
- Leading marketing efforts to up-sell guests on hotel services, offerings, and amenities
What We Need From You
- Bachelor’s degree / higher education qualification / equivalent in hospitality or related field
- Four or more years of experience in a hospitality or hotel sales and marketing setting with direct supervisory experience over a sales team
- Strong knowledge of local businesses and business trends required
- English language fluency is a must.
- Knowledge of other languages will be an added advantage.
- Developing a Marketing Plan: Creating a comprehensive marketing strategy for the upcoming year, which may include digital campaigns, events, media placements, and partnerships to increase brand awareness and sales.
- Leading a Sales Team Meeting: Conducting regular meetings with the sales team to review performance, discuss new leads, and strategize on achieving sales goals.
- Creating an Advertising Campaign: Overseeing the creation of a print or digital advertising campaign to attract new customers or target a specific segment, such as corporate clients or leisure travelers.
- Reviewing Budget and Financial Reports: Reviewing the sales and marketing budget to ensure that expenses are within forecasted limits and discussing the return on investment for different campaigns.
- Building Partnerships: Establishing strategic partnerships with travel agencies, influencers, and other businesses that can help increase exposure and drive sales.

- Developing Sales & Marketing Plans: Designing comprehensive sales and marketing strategies to drive revenue growth, enhance brand awareness, and achieve business goals.
- Market Research and Analysis: Conducting market research to understand industry trends, competitor strategies, and customer needs, and using these insights to inform sales and marketing efforts.
- Targeting Key Segments: Identifying and targeting specific market segments, such as leisure, corporate, group, or events, to maximize sales opportunities and revenue.
2. Brand Management and Positioning
- Brand Strategy: Developing and maintaining the brand’s identity, ensuring all marketing efforts are aligned with the organization’s values and positioning in the market.
- Marketing Communications: Overseeing all marketing communications (e.g., advertisements, social media, digital campaigns) to ensure consistency and effectiveness.
- Public Relations: Building and maintaining relationships with media outlets, influencers, and key stakeholders to enhance the brand’s image and visibility.
3. Sales Leadership
- Sales Team Management: Leading the sales team, setting goals, providing motivation, and ensuring that they achieve their sales targets.
- Sales Training and Development: Coaching and training the sales team to improve performance, focusing on lead generation, negotiation skills, and closing sales.
- Client Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients, partners, and industry influencers to foster long-term business opportunities.
- Revenue Generation: Driving both direct and indirect sales through various channels, including corporate accounts, events, leisure, and online platforms.
4. Marketing Campaigns and Digital Strategy
- Digital Marketing: Overseeing the development and implementation of digital marketing strategies, including SEO, SEM, social media, email marketing, and online advertising.
- Content Strategy: Managing content creation (e.g., blog posts, videos, social media posts) to engage and attract potential customers.
- Online Presence Management: Ensuring that the brand’s online presence is optimized, including maintaining the website, managing online booking systems, and enhancing social media engagement.
- Analytics and ROI: Analyzing the performance of digital campaigns using data-driven metrics, and adjusting strategies to ensure high return on investment (ROI).
5. Budgeting and Financial Management
- Budget Creation and Oversight: Developing and managing the marketing and sales budget, ensuring that spending aligns with business objectives and delivers the desired outcomes.
- Cost-Effectiveness: Identifying and implementing cost-effective strategies to promote the brand and generate sales without compromising quality.
- Revenue Forecasting: Working with senior leadership to forecast future revenue and sales trends based on marketing and sales activities.
6. Event Marketing and Promotions
- Promotional Campaigns: Leading promotional activities, such as seasonal offers, loyalty programs, and special events, to increase sales during peak and off-peak periods.
- Event Planning and Execution: Organizing large-scale events, conferences, exhibitions, and trade shows to promote the brand, attract clients, and enhance visibility.
- Partnership Development: Collaborating with other businesses, agencies, and local organizations to create mutually beneficial marketing partnerships.
