Job Description

Roles and responsibilities

  • Quality Assurance and Quality Control Oversight:

    • Lead and manage all aspects of quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) processes across projects or the entire organization.
    • Ensure that all processes are aligned with both internal quality standards and external regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO standards, industry certifications).
    • Develop and implement QAQC strategies, guidelines, and protocols to maintain high product/service quality.
  • Management of QAQC Teams:

    • Lead and mentor a team of QAQC engineers, inspectors, and quality professionals, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary tools and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
    • Provide direction, training, and professional development opportunities to team members.
    • Ensure proper delegation of tasks and responsibilities to optimize team performance and efficiency.
  • Process Improvement:

    • Identify areas for improvement within existing processes, services, or products to enhance overall quality.
    • Implement continuous improvement initiatives using tools like Six Sigma, Lean, or Kaizen to reduce defects and improve efficiency.
    • Promote a culture of quality throughout the organization by collaborating with other departments (e.g., operations, engineering, procurement) to integrate quality into all stages of production or service delivery.
  • Quality Audits and Compliance:

    • Plan, organize, and lead internal audits to assess compliance with quality standards and procedures.
    • Work closely with external auditors or regulatory bodies during inspections or audits to ensure compliance with industry regulations.
    • Address and resolve any audit findings or non-conformance issues promptly.
    • Ensure that all quality-related documentation is accurate, complete, and readily available for internal or external review.
  • Vendor and Supplier Quality Management:

    • Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure that materials, components, or services meet established quality standards.
    • Conduct supplier evaluations and audits to ensure compliance with quality requirements.
    • Develop strong relationships with key suppliers to encourage quality improvements and resolve issues related to product or service defects.
  • Risk Management and Issue Resolution:

    • Identify potential quality risks and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
    • Use root cause analysis techniques to investigate quality issues and implement corrective actions.
    • Lead cross-functional teams in resolving complex quality-related problems that may impact project timelines, costs, or product delivery.
  • Performance Metrics and Reporting:

    • Establish and track quality performance metrics, such as defect rates, customer satisfaction, and cost of quality, to measure the effectiveness of QAQC processes.
    • Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on quality performance, issues, and improvements.
    • Analyze trends in quality data and recommend actions to improve outcomes.
  • Customer Interaction and Feedback Management:

    • Engage with customers to understand their quality expectations and ensure their requirements are met.
    • Handle customer complaints or feedback related to quality issues and ensure they are resolved promptly.
    • Track customer satisfaction levels and ensure that quality improvements are aligned with customer needs.
  • Documentation and Regulatory Compliance:

    • Ensure that all QAQC documentation is properly maintained, including inspection reports, quality control logs, corrective action records, and compliance certificates.
    • Maintain compliance with industry standards and regulations by keeping up to date with any changes in regulatory requirements.
  • Strategic Leadership:

    • Participate in strategic decision-making processes, helping shape company policy and direction regarding quality management.
    • Align quality objectives with the overall business strategy and ensure that QAQC goals support organizational growth and operational excellence.

Desired candidate profile

  • JOB PURPOSE:

Ensure appropriate definition and implementation of ADNOC Ruwais LNG Project (ADNOC RLNG) assurance and quality management activities within the Project. Participate in the development of Project Execution Planning (PEP). Accountable for the implementation of the Project manuals, procedures, and standards.

  • QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

Minimum Qualification

  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering preferably in Mechanical or Petroleum Engineering

Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills

  • Experience in leading a large team in delivering outcome to support overall project.
  • 25 years of experience in Quality Assurance & Quality Control aspects for Projects for major Oil and Gas Projects.
  • Experience in LNG Projects would be added advantage.
  • Must have at least three (3) years of experience in similar position for international Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects
