Job Description
Role Overview
As the Data Director you will be instrumental in shaping Contangos data strategy ensuring alignment with our organizational goals. You will lead crossfunctional teams manage complex data projects and provide consulting expertise to deliver actionable insights and transformative business outcomes. This role demands a strategic leader with a deep understanding of data ecosystems governance and analytics coupled with handson consulting experience.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute Contangos data strategy in alignment with organizational objectives.
- Establish and drive data governance frameworks ensuring data quality security and compliance with regulatory standards.
Data Ecosystem Management
- Oversee the design implementation and maintenance of scalable data platforms and architectures.
- Drive innovation in data engineering analytics and AI/ML solutions to enhance business capabilities.
Team Leadership
- Build and lead a highperforming team of data professionals including analysts engineers and scientists.
- Foster a culture of innovation collaboration and continuous learning within the team.
Consulting and Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as a trusted advisor to internal and external stakeholders translating complex data insights into actionable recommendations.
- Lead consulting engagements ensuring the delivery of highvalue data solutions to meet business needs.
Project Management
- Manage endtoend delivery of complex data projects ensuring timely execution and alignment with business goals.
- Optimize resources and budgets to maximize ROI on data initiatives.
Experience:
- Minimum of 12 years of professional experience in data strategy management and consulting.
- Proven track record of delivering successful data projects in complex organizational environments.
- Experience within toptier consulting firms or similar roles in technology or datadriven industries is preferred.
Education:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Data Science Computer Science Engineering Business Analytics or a related field. Advanced certifications in data or AI are a plus.
Technical Expertise:
- Strong knowledge of data governance architecture and analytics platforms (e.g. Collibra Snowflake Tableau Power BI).
- Familiarity with advanced AI/ML tools and methodologies.
Leadership Skills:
- Exceptional ability to lead and inspire crossfunctional teams.
- Strong consulting communication and stakeholder management skills.
Other Requirements:
- Experience in a fastpaced highgrowth environment.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with a focus on delivering measurable results.
