Roles and responsibilities

We are currently looking for passionate and dynamic interns who are open to development opportunities and exploration of the hospitality industry from a practical perspective.

Since its foundation, Rotana has been committed to nurture talent by offering the opportunity for students to complete their internships in our properties. The duration of your internship will be minimum 3 months and can last up to 6 months. Our training programmes are comprehensive and specifically tailored to the development needs of trainees. As an intern with Rotana, you will benefit from the following-

• Complete a successful training period and gain exposure in a professional work environment
• Attend various development programmes relevant to you
• Have the regular support of the Learning and Development department and Departmental Training Coordinator who will provide you with the necessary training, guidance and coaching
  

Skills

Education, Qualifications & Experiences

You should be studying in a reputed Hotel Management School or University and have a strong passion for the Hospitality industry. You must also have fluency in both written and spoken English and a professional personal presentation.

An Internship in Housekeeping provides valuable exposure to the operational side of the hospitality industry, particularly in maintaining cleanliness, orderliness, and service quality in hotels, resorts, or similar establishments. Below are the essential skills and qualities needed or developed during a housekeeping internship:

Technical Skills

1. Cleaning Techniques:
   • Knowledge of using cleaning tools, chemicals, and equipment efficiently and safely.
   • Understanding of deep cleaning and regular maintenance protocols.
2. Inventory Management:
   • Tracking and restocking supplies like toiletries, linens, and cleaning materials.
3. Room Preparation:
   • Arranging rooms according to company standards, including bed-making, decor, and amenities setup.
4. Health & Safety Compliance:
   • Adherence to safety protocols for handling chemicals and preventing accidents.

Customer Service Skills

1. Attention to Detail:
   • Ensuring rooms are spotless and meet guest expectations.
