Job Description

Roles and responsibilities

Sales manager is at the core of Careem Express. They are our face to clients and we rely on them to build a strong pipeline, and move with our business to the next level. They are responsible for growing demand in a sustainable way.

What You’ll Do

  • Business development - Acquire new accounts in a new City (prospecting, targeting, pitching, contract negotiations, go-live)
  • Build the optimal sales strategy to ensure maximum lead generation and conversion
  • Achieve monthly GMV targets through onboarding new merchants
  • Build and manage relationships with stakeholders
  • Commercial understanding and handling negotiation with clients
  • Coordinate with operations / logistics team internally for costing to make sure that the pitches are made at the right commercials
  • Coordinate with Legal internally for contract closures

What You’ll Need

  • 4-5 years of sales/Commercial management experience from food and non food aggregator, Ecommerce or on-demand logistics industry
  • High performer – track record of generating revenue for businesses
  • Business development mindset coupled with Operational detail orientation
  • Target oriented & Problem solver
  • Energetic and excited about joining a startup environment

  1. Team Leadership

    • Recruit, train, and mentor sales team members.
    • Set individual and team performance goals.
    • Provide regular feedback and coaching to enhance performance.
  2. Sales Strategy Development

    • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
    • Analyze market trends and adjust strategies accordingly.
    • Identify new sales opportunities and growth areas.
  3. Performance Monitoring

    • Track sales metrics such as revenue, conversion rates, and pipeline health.
    • Prepare regular reports for senior management.
    • Use data insights to make informed decisions and optimize performance.
  4. Customer Relationship Management

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients.
    • Oversee the resolution of customer complaints and issues.
    • Collaborate with the team to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  5. Cross-Functional Collaboration

    • Work closely with marketing to align sales and promotional strategies.
    • Coordinate with product or service teams to meet customer needs.
    • Partner with finance to manage pricing, budgets, and revenue projections.
  6. Process Improvement

    • Refine and optimize the sales process for efficiency.
    • Implement tools and technologies to support sales activities.
    • Stay updated on industry trends and competitive positioning.
