Job Description
- Develop and implement loss prevention strategies and programs to mitigate risks associated with oil and gas operations.
- Conduct hazard assessments risk analysis and audits to identify potential safety hazards and develop appropriate controls.
- Review and approve design plans specifications and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements particularly ADNOC guidelines.
- Provide technical support and guidance to project teams during the design construction and operation phases to ensure adherence to safety standards.
- Investigate incidents near misses and breaches of safety protocols to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops to raise awareness of safety protocols and promote a culture of safety within the organization.
- Keep abreast of industry developments regulatory changes and emerging technologies to continuously improve loss prevention practices.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in loss prevention engineering within the oil and gas industry.
- ADNOC approval and CICPA certification preferred.
- Proficiency in risk assessment techniques process safety management and relevant industry standards (e.g. API NFPA).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and assess potential safety hazards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams.
- Proven track record of implementing successful loss prevention programs and initiatives.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a dynamic work environment.
- Willingness to travel to project sites and offshore locations as required.
