Roles and responsibilities
We are looking for a Senior Consultant - Risk Management practitioner, with focus on capital projects risk management. We are supporting multiple clients through our Programme Advisory services, including PMO and PMO services throughout the region. Our clients require robust advice and risk assurance on their capital projects portfolios, and we are looking to expand our team.
Our Advisory team is focused on the following key areas:
- Business Consulting in early stage on large scale Infrastructure, Transport and Urban Development programmes, from policy, institutional and capability development; strategic planning and strategic business case development to helping clients to scope their programmes and execution.
- We provide Portfolio and Programme Management advisory services, to drive more successful infrastructure project delivery.
- Ideally, we are looking for individuals with experience from Advisory and Consulting firms.
- The role is based in the ME region and will require travel. The candidate will be exposed to a number of industries and clients in the Capital Projects environments - Infrastructure & Transport; Governmental and Private entities, Energy, Cities & Urban Infrastructure and work alongside experienced Consultants and Technical Specialists from our broader Group.
Key Responsibilities
- Support our broader Programme Advisory engagements with our Capital Projects clients with accountability and full management of the Risk Management capability and services.
- Provide broader enterprise level risk management across our projects in collaboration with our commercial team, through guiding, overseeing, and executing qualitative, quantitative (QSRA & QCRA), and business risk assessments to advise the project directors, clients, and sponsors.
- Support Risk Leadership for the broader risk management job family;
- Support the implementation of programme risk management strategies and risk management frameworks across our client engagements. Including planning and facilitating risk workshops, identifying and developing programme wide risk management policies, practices and procedures;
- Support and facilitate the identification and analysis of risk and value management interventions on projects and programmes, including lessons learned.

- Facilitate project delivery by supporting client and stakeholder requirements.
Professional Experience / Education & Qualifications
- Educated to Degree level or equivalent qualification or experience
- 7-10 years experience within the infrastructure sector, with specific experience in Risk Management
- Big 4, Consulting and Advisory environments or a relevant position with transferable skills
- Proficiency in Project management including, Scope, Risk, Cost, Schedule and Resource Management (Prince 2; APM membership)
- Working knowledge of IS031000, COSO, IRM and PMI within Capital Projects environment
- Risk Workshop Facilitation, SMART Risk Treatment identification
- Understanding of Programme & Project Controls processes
- Able to build risk models which represent the complexities of cost, schedule, and business risk
- Risk Management Information Systems & Software (e.g. Riskhive, ARM, Predict!) Monte Carlo Simulation (Cost & Time) (e.g. @Risk & Oracle PRA, Safran)

- Willingness to travel within the GCC region.
- Strong report writing, verbal and presentation skills and able to review the work of others to ensure quality.
- Able to prioritise and work effectively under pressure.
