As a Junior Print Designer in the events and exhibitions industry you will be responsible for assisting in the creation of visual concepts and design solutions for printed materials and signage used at events trade shows and exhibitions. You will work alongside the Senior Designer and Production team to deliver high quality designs that meet client expectations while adhering to brand guidelines production requirements and timelines.
Key Responsibilities Design and Creative Development
Assist in the design and layout of print materials including banners posters brochures flyers and largeformat signage for events and exhibitions.
Collaborate with the design team to develop creative concepts and design solutions based on client briefs and event specifications.
Create and refine digital renderings for event signage booth designs and marketing materials using Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator Photoshop InDesign).
Ensure all design outputs are printready meeting the required technical specifications (e.g. colour profiles bleed resolution) and production standards. Project Support and Coordination
Support the Senior Designer and Project Managers in the design and production process ensuring timely delivery of highquality materials. Page1
Work closely with production teams to ensure designs are correctly translated into physical formats including largescale prints vinyls and other event signage.
Assist with mockups and proofs for client approval and internal review processes.
Manage and organize design assets files and templates for easy access by the team. Client Interaction
Participate in client meetings (as needed) to understand their design needs and provide input on visual concepts for their events or exhibitions.
Make design revisions based on client feedback while maintaining creative integrity and brand consistency. Quality Control and File Management
Ensure all design files are properly organized labelled and backed up in accordance with the company s file management system.
Check for accuracy consistency and quality in all designs before final production including reviewing colours fonts and layout for alignment with brand guidelines.
Assist with preparation and delivery of printready files to the print and production teams ensuring all specifications are met. Required Skills & Qualifications
Education: A degree or diploma in Graphic Design Visual Arts or a related field.
Requirements
Experience: 12 years of experience in graphic design with exposure to print design signage and eventrelated projects. Experience in the events or exhibitions industry is a plus.
Design Software Proficiency: Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator Photoshop InDesign). Knowledge of other design tools (e.g. CorelDRAW Sketch) is a plus.
Print Production Knowledge: Understanding of print production processes and requirements for various materials (e.g. vinyl fabric foam board etc.) and largeformat printing.
Attention to Detail: Strong eye for design typography colour and layout with a focus on precision and accuracy.
Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate design concepts and take direction from senior team members.
Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks prioritize effectively and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
Creative Problem Solving: Ability to think creatively and adapt to project constraints client feedback and production requirements. Desirable Skills
Knowledge of motion graphics or video editing software (e.g. After Effects Premiere Pro) is an asset.
Familiarity with 3D design and rendering tools for exhibition booth design (e.g. SketchUp AutoCAD) is a plus.
