Roles and responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests in a warm and friendly manner.
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently, ensuring that all guest details are accurate and up to date.
- Provide guests with information about the restaurant, including menus, specials, and policies.
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and smooth transitions between guests.
- Assist with maintaining cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including resetting tables and managing guest flow.
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests professionally, ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Process payment or direct guests to servers for final checks when needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in customer service or hospitality (restaurant experience preferred).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and handle a busy, fast-paced environment.
- Positive, friendly, and professional attitude.
- Basic knowledge of reservation systems (or willingness to learn).
- Ability to stand for long periods and manage physical tasks (e.g., walking to and from tables, managing seating arrangements).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

- A high school diploma or equivalent is typically required for a hostess role. Additional training in customer service or hospitality management is a plus but not mandatory.

Experience:
- Previous experience in customer service or hospitality (such as roles as a server, receptionist, or retail worker) is often preferred, though many restaurants are willing to train individuals who have a strong customer service mindset and a positive attitude.

About You
Preferred qualifications for this role include having at least 1 to 2 years of prior experience in a similar position within the luxury hotel or restaurant sector, with a preference for international experience. We are looking for candidates who exhibit excellent communication skills and a genuine dedication to and enthusiasm for the Food and Beverage industry. Additionally, a willingness to work flexible hours is expected.
