Roles and responsibilities
- Research
- Use existing internal and external data sources, including AECOM’s AI tool Oscar, to enhance the quality and relevance of bid submissions.
- Bid Strategy and Planning:
- Support during workshops and bid planning meetings, to craft winning proposal themes
- Support bid managers and with technical teams to develop storyboard content that addresses client needs and offers winning solutions.
- Quality and Technical Content Management:
- Manage compliance and conduct reviews of the quality and technical content in proposal documents.
- Work with the creative team to prepare interesting proposal layouts and designs (on-the-job training for Adobe design programs will be provided)
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Support answer planning, copywriting, and editing to ensure clear and compelling proposal content.
- Bid Program Management:
- Work with bid specialists and bid managers to develop a bid timeline and key deliverables
- Assist with the preparation of bid submission documents, coordinating with the bid team and different technical teams within AECOM
- Document Management:
- Manage and maintain all bid documents, ensuring timely distribution to relevant functions for response, review, and signature as per the bid program. Using salesforce to record key information.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or Strategy from an accredited University
- Candidates must be recent graduates, 2024 or 2023, to be eligible for AECOM's Graduate Program.
- Successful applicants must have achieved a minimum GPA of 2.9 or 2:1 (or equivalent) and above.

1. Marketing Strategy Development
- Campaign Planning: Developing and executing marketing campaigns to promote the company’s products or services, often including digital, print, and social media channels.
- Market Research: Conducting research to understand market trends, customer preferences, competitor strategies, and opportunities for growth.
- Target Audience Identification: Defining and segmenting the target audience based on demographics, behaviors, and needs, then tailoring marketing strategies to those specific groups.
2. Digital Marketing
- Social Media Marketing: Managing social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.), creating content, and running paid ads to engage with current and potential customers.
- Search Engine Optimization (SEO): Optimizing website content for search engines to increase organic traffic and visibility.
- Email Marketing: Developing and sending targeted email campaigns to engage prospects and nurture leads, including newsletters, promotions, and product updates.
- Pay-Per-Click (PPC) Campaigns: Managing paid advertising campaigns, such as Google Ads or social media ads, to drive traffic and conversions.
- Content Marketing: Creating valuable and relevant content (blogs, articles, videos, etc.) to attract and engage potential customers and improve search rankings.
3. Brand Development
- Brand Positioning: Helping to develop the company’s brand identity, messaging, and voice, ensuring consistency across all marketing materials and platforms.
- Creative Direction: Collaborating with designers, copywriters, and other teams to develop creative assets that align with the brand’s values and messaging.
- Content Creation: Writing and creating content that supports brand messaging, including website copy, blog posts, press releases, and social media posts.
4. Campaign Management and Execution
- Campaign Launch and Execution: Managing all aspects of marketing campaigns, from concept to execution, including setting objectives, defining KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), and measuring success.
- Performance Tracking and Reporting: Analyzing the performance of marketing campaigns, including ROI (Return on Investment), engagement, conversion rates, and sales. Using analytics tools (like Google Analytics, SEMrush, or social media insights) to track performance.
- Budget Management: Handling the budget for marketing campaigns, ensuring that expenses stay within limits while maximizing results.
5. Market Analysis and Reporting
- Competitive Analysis: Monitoring competitors’ activities, analyzing their marketing strategies, and identifying areas where your company can differentiate itself.
- Customer Insights: Gathering and analyzing customer feedback through surveys, reviews, and market studies to understand customer needs and improve marketing strategies.
- Sales Collaboration: Working closely with the sales team to align marketing efforts with sales goals, support lead generation, and convert leads into customers.
6. Event Planning and Promotion
- Trade Shows and Conferences: Organizing and promoting company participation in industry events, trade shows, and conferences to build brand awareness and generate leads.
- Webinars and Online Events: Planning and hosting webinars or online events to engage with potential clients, educate audiences, and showcase expertise.
