Job Purpose:
A tax accountant is responsible for assisting our group with their financial and income tax
statements. These qualified professionals research study and interpret tax law. Their work
includes preparing payments identifying tax savings and analysing tax issues.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Tax Strategies & Minimization: Provide tax strategies and advice to help clients minimize tax liabilities. This includes choosing the right tax structure optimizing portfolios and developing compliant tax strategies.
- Tax Return Preparation & Filing: Prepare and file various tax returns including corporate income tax valueadded tax (VAT) and sales tax. Ensure clients tax returns are compliant and accurate.
- Financial Planning Assistance: Assist clients with financial planning to minimize tax risks legally reduce tax liabilities and improve financial efficiency.
- Tax Audit Support: Support clients during tax audits by preparing necessary documentation answering auditors questions and ensuring compliance with tax laws.
- Tax Compliance: Ensure that clients comply with all applicable tax law requirements to prevent potential penalties and legal consequences.
- Client Education on Tax Regulations: Explain complex tax rules and regulations to clients to help them understand compliance requirements and make informed financial decisions.
- Monitoring Tax Law Changes: Continuously track changes in tax laws to ensure clients remain in compliance with the latest regulations and can take advantage of applicable tax incentives and deductions.
- OneonOne Consultations: Provide personalized consultations to answer client tax questions and deliver tailored advice.
- Record Keeping: Create and maintain tax records and documentation to prepare for future audits and inspections.
- Financial Compliance: Ensure clients financial activities comply with national and regional tax laws to avoid potential legal issues.
- Audit & Assessment Representation: Represent clients in communications with tax authorities during audits or tax assessments preparing required documentation and responding to inquiries.
- FTA Document Preparation: Assist in preparing documents for the Federal Tax Authority (FTA) during tax audits.
- Updates on Tax Developments: Provide clients with updates on recent changes in tax treatments from the FTA regarding VAT and corporate law.
- Deregistration Submissions: Submit deregistration applications in the FTA portal for VAT and corporate tax when required.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field; ACCA BBA or MBA preferred.
Certification: FTAapproved Tax Agent is a plus.
Experience: Minimum 4 years experience as a tax accountant or in a similar role.
Skills:
Strong understanding of MS Office and accounting software.
Indepth knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping.
Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
