Job Description

Roles and responsibilities

  • Greet all guests entering and leaving the hotel entrance, using the appropriate salutation that maintains a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Open the car door for all guests arriving or leaving from the main entrance of the property in a polite and courteous manner and greet them with a warm smile welcoming them on arrival and departure.
  • Coordinate with the bell attendants to ensure they remove luggage/parcels from vehicles of guests arriving at the hotel entrance and to arrange for their delivery to the guest rooms.
  • Handle the safe storage of luggage in the storeroom, making sure it is always kept clean and tidy.
  • Hail taxis for Guests, using the designated taxi company, opening the taxi doors, and helping them to be seated to provide them with the appropriate assistance required.
  • Receive incoming packages/letters/documents for guests - record their acceptance and arrange delivery to the recipient in a timely manner.
  • Identify and assist with security matters as a first point of call for guests checking into the SBU to ensure any security risks are minimized.



About You:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Previous experience in hospitality is preferred, ideally in the same capacity.

  6. Coordinating Services: Collaborating with other staff members (e.g., bell staff, front desk) to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.

  7. Handling Requests: Addressing guest requests promptly and professionally, such as arranging transportation or providing local recommendations.

  8. Maintaining Cleanliness: Keeping the entrance area tidy and presentable, ensuring a welcoming environment.

  9. Emergency Response: Being prepared to respond to emergencies or safety issues, following established protocols.

  10. Feedback Collection: Gathering feedback from guests regarding their arrival experience and addressing any concerns.
