Job Description

Roles and responsibilities

  • Minimum of a high school diploma / Graduate degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration or related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in Hospitality Procurement in a medium to large organization.
  • Experience in e-Procurement or equivalent procurement systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of preparing and reviewing contracts, invoicing, and negotiation terms.
  • Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with suppliers to ensure the availability of high-quality goods and services.
  • Purchasing Strategy: Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the organization’s goals, including cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
  • Negotiation: Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to secure favorable conditions for the organization.
  • Market Research: Stay informed about market trends, industry developments, and pricing fluctuations to make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels to ensure that supplies are adequately stocked while minimizing excess inventory and waste.
  • Compliance: Ensure that procurement activities comply with company policies, legal regulations, and ethical standards.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare reports on procurement activities, analyze purchasing data, and provide insights to management for decision-making.
  • Essential Skills:

  • Negotiation Skills: Strong ability to negotiate favorable terms and pricing with suppliers.
  • Analytical Thinking: Proficiency in analyzing market data and purchasing trends to make informed decisions.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulousness in reviewing contracts, orders, and invoices to ensure accuracy.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple procurement projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
