Roles and responsibilities
The Job holder will manage and supervise the construction team of infrastructure assigned projects within planned time and ensure project is in progress within approved design, budget and quality standard in line with agreed design, specifications, and process.
Key Accountabilities:
- Responsible for the management coordination and supervision on site.
- Review the Project Contract and ensure the proper works execution and responsibility of each party.
- Manage the approved project program and to control the critical activities.
- Monitor the costs, programs, timeline, and provide regular update reports.
- Liaise with Local Authorities (DEWA, RTA, Trakhees, etc.) to acquire the required NOCs and permits.
- Attend the project meetings with the consultant and contractor to review the project progress against the approved program.
- Schedule to attend all the necessary meetings with, i.e., Commercial, Development, Procurement & Contracts, etc., to solve any works issues that tend to cause extra to Contract.
- Review the project status and observe any deviations in the main project objectives and take the necessary action to correct and keep the project on track.
- Review and evaluate the contractor’s claims and interim payments in accordance with the contract and monitor the project cost against the budget.
- Monitor the performance of the consultant and contractors at site against standard and objectives. 11. Coordinate with the Operation department to hand over the infrastructure and landscape and ensure all essential functional requirements are strictly met in the current and future operation.
- Coordinate with DLP Team to hand over the units and final snagging of the handing over project.
- Review the Project Close Out Documents and settle all the variations and payments.
- Act upon as and when necessary and as demand by Reporting Line
Qualifications, Experiences, Skills:
- Bachelor of Civil Engineering from approved university; Master’s degree preferred
- Project Management certification
- Min 15+ years of experience with at least 6-8 year in a project lead role and 5 + Years preferable with a developer
- Knowledge in UAE infrastructure projects and related laws and authorities' requirements.
- Adhere to established budgets costs of delivery of Road and utilities projects.
- Ensure compliance with applicable standards and specifications.
