Infrastructure Developer

Roles and responsibilities

The Vice President – Infrastructure for Dubai & Northern Emirates will oversee the development of horizontal design activities related to infrastructure and ensure compliance with authorities' standards across several developments. The role will support the Director – Infrastructure and the wider Projects business on challenging but country leading Infrastructure developments.

Roles And Responsibilities

Support in development of guidelines and procedures for the infrastructure design in compliance with DDA 2040, DEWA, DM, RTA and other authorities and other authorities’ requirements.

Design utility services framework for various projects based on approved master plan.

Manage design of infrastructure work on behalf of utilities authority (DEWA, DM) and liaise with Project Procurement to submit claims for reimbursement.

Review the analysis of infrastructure and ensure the compliance of the design with public and Aldar standards.

Provide technical advice and design review for ongoing projects, in accordance with project teams.

Assist Project Procurement in developing project scope and assessing third parties (consultants, contractors, and sub-contractors) by performing technical evaluation.

Manage third parties (PMC, consultants, and contractors) on the analysis of infrastructure and ensure drawing submittals are in line with Aldar projects specifications.

Prepare engineering analysis, plans and specifications and review contractor submittals.

Identify possible ideas to cut costs/time and provide value engineering recommendations to project teams.

Ensure that plans and policies affecting public utilities are compliant with DDA 2040, DEWA, RTA and other authorities and other authorities' requirements.

Manage the site logistics of projects and ensure adherence of Project Management Consultants and Principal Contractors with ALDAR HSSE policies, procedures and legal requirements.

Coordinate with Estidama team to ensure that designs are aligned with the sustainability vision of the developments.

Perform final hand-over of the completed infrastructure asset to the relevant authorities' party as per the project plan.

Qualifications And Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent is required.
• Technical post-graduate degree is preferred.
  
  

RELATED YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:

A minimum of 15 years of experience in a design consultancy, property development firm or PMC, specializing in infrastructure, preferably in the GCC.

YOE IN MANAGERIAL POSITION:

At least 8 years in a management or lead role.

FIELD OF EXPERIENCE:

• Extensive experience to GCC region and adjacent markets is essential.
• Proven track record of working on complex projects in the Middle East and or GCC.
• Demonstrated track record in infrastructure design and project oversight.

8. Project Oversight: Managing infrastructure projects from inception to completion, ensuring that they are delivered on time and within budget.

9. Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring that infrastructure operations comply with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices.

10. Stakeholder Engagement: Communicating with senior leadership and other stakeholders to provide updates on infrastructure initiatives and align strategies with business needs.
