Roles and responsibilities

The MEP Site Engineer– Plumping & Drainage is responsible for organizing, supervising, executing, monitoring and controlling the Plumping & Drainage works installation activities under MEP works in Residential, commercial and industrial buildings.

Job Responsibilities

• Review the approved construction drawings and ensure the required approvals and documentations for the site installation works are available at site.
• Derive schedule of Plumping & Drainage works packages from the overall MEP Project schedules and prepare for the site works execution.
• Plan site resource and materials requirement and coordinate for the delivery of materials and other resources in line with schedules.
• Manage the site resources, execution, progress and productivity of Plumping & Drainage works.
• Assess the materials requirement at site and compare the same with the bill of materials provided.
• Manage the team of Supervisors, Foreman and Charge Hands for the works execution in line with the approved schedules.
• Set targets, monitor and control the site Plumping & Drainage works and ensure that the works are carried out within the budgeted quantity of materials, plant & equipment and labor.
• Coordinate with subcontractors for the Plumping & Drainage installations and with other subcontractors for the interface works.
• Coordination with client and authorities engineers for site works execution.
• Interaction and coordination with stores for collection of materials in line with the project schedule.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 3 year experience

Or

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 5 year experience

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience in MEP projects Plumping & Drainage installation works for residential and commercial towers and industrial buildings.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in MEP projects Plumping & Drainage installation works in UAE or any other GCC countries.
• ESCO industry experience preferred.

8. Technical Software Proficiency: Familiarity with engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D) for design and planning.

9. Documentation Skills: Competence in maintaining accurate records of progress, issues, and compliance.

10. Adaptability: Flexibility to respond to changes and unexpected challenges on-site.

• Coordination: Working with architects, engineers, and contractors to facilitate smooth communication and workflow.

• Reporting: Maintaining records of site progress, issues encountered, and resolutions implemented.

• Problem Resolution: Addressing any technical or logistical problems that arise on-site.

• Safety Management: Enforcing safety regulations and ensuring all team members adhere to safety protocols.

• Resource Management: Overseeing the allocation of materials, equipment, and labor to optimize productivity.

• Client Liaison: Communicating with clients and stakeholders to provide updates and address concerns.
