Job Description

Roles and responsibilities

  • A minimum of 2-3 years of UAE-based experience as an Accountant, or a similar role in a Luxury Hotel is preferred.
  • A Master's Degree in Accounting or Finance, such as M. Com, CA Inter, or a related field is preferred.
  • FIVE-Star’ knowledge of all relevant Accounting Software like Tally, including how to utilize Microsoft Office, such as Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Impeccable Communication Skills, both verbal and written, with fluency in English.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintains and Updates Financial Records, including the general ledger, accounts payable, and receivable, as well as bank statements and bank reconciliation with Remarkable Accuracy and Attention to Detail.
  • Manages and Reconciles Diverse Accounts, encompassing cash, investments, and accounts payable/receivable, in an Exquisite Manner.
  • Prepares and Analyses Financial Statements and Reports with a focus on Delivering Sensational Outcomes.
  • Assists in the Budgeting and Forecasting Process to craft a ‘FIVE-Star’ Financial Outlook.
  • Communicates effectively with external Stakeholders, such as auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities, always maintaining ‘FIVE-Styled’ Communication.
  • Performs ad-hoc Analysis and Special Projects as requested, demonstrating an Exquisite approach to Financial Tasks.

Desired candidate profile

Technical Skills

  1. Financial Reporting: Preparing accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  2. Bookkeeping: Maintaining accurate records of all financial transactions and ensuring they are properly categorized.

Analytical Skills

  1. Data Analysis: Analyzing financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
  2. Problem Solving: Addressing discrepancies in financial records and developing solutions.

Knowledge of Accounting Principles

  1. GAAP/IFRS Understanding: Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  2. Tax Regulations: Understanding local, state, and federal tax laws to ensure compliance.

Attention to Detail

  1. Accuracy: Ensuring all financial records are accurate and free from errors.
  2. Review Processes: Conducting thorough reviews of financial statements and reports before submission.

Software Proficiency

  1. Accounting Software: Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or SAP.
  2. Excel Skills: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.

Communication Skills

  1. Client Interaction: Effectively communicating financial information to clients or stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  2. Team Collaboration: Working closely with other departments to provide financial insights and support.
