Job Description

Roles and responsibilities

A leading specialist engineering services company delivering integrated solutions for complex energy and infrastructure projects and operating assets. The Role?

To act as a proposal, lead on individual RFPs, and contribute towards achieving the booking plan of EnerMech's MEC region.

Main Responsibilities & Key Result Areas

  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and maintain clear visibility of the progress on each tender
  • Tender kickoff calls
  • To act as lead responsible person for preparation, approvals submission and close-out of individual RFPs and large pre-qualification exercises
  • Deal with Operations, Procurement, Finance, Contracts, Legal, Tax, BD and other divisions for tender input in a timely manner
  • Follow the tender approval matrix and ensure correct approvals are in place on a timely manner
  • Demonstrate with evidence of the cost efficiencies achieved by the proposal specialist position and the resultant effect on the booking plan
  • Continue to manage the monthly reporting data
  • Dealing with pre and post-tender clarifications
  • Ensure compliance with the tender format
  • Storyboard reviews through kick-off and progress calls for individual tenders
  • Bring in innovative solutions for complex pricing schedules
  • Management of tender folders on the server
  • Document controlling
  • Tender acknowledgements/decline forms
  • Any other tasks assigned by the E&P Manager to support the workload

Desired candidate profile

  • Minimum Bachelor of Engineering Degree
  • Previous experience in a commercial/proposal role
  • Understanding of an onshore/offshore oil and gas market
  • Relevant site-based industry experience
  • Previous experience in tendering / commercial roles
  • Knowledge of Africa, the Middle East and Caspian Oil & Gas market
