Ferry Mechanical Engineer Marine Engineer- Dubai Ferries Water Taxis

About the Role

Oversee the overall fleet (Dubai Ferries & Water taxis) technical aspects and put in place an enhanced system for improved fleet vessels performance and effective cost management. Perform all technical support budgetary and manpower issue to cover operations.

Major Activities / Deliverables which include but is not limited to:

1. Oversee technical services and daily operational performance with required maintenance and repairs.

2. Prepare the Technical Scope of Works for the vessel maintenance contracts reactivation contracts Life extension of onboard systems Modification of onboard systems etc.

3. Internal auditor and istant DPA for ISM of client ferries.

4. Perform and ensure the vessels are maintained as per the International Maritime Organization requirements and maintain the Certifications of Clification Society for the Ferries.

5. Scheduling the annual plan as per the PMS and repair specification of dry docking.

6. Perform the CM PM predictive maintenance reactivation jobs scopes modification jobs Rbm life extension jobs dry dock jobs etc. for Ferries and Water taxis.

7. Prepare technical reports and essments for insurance claims during any accidents incidents equipment breakdowns.

8. Prepare annual budget for the repairs and drydocking activities of ferries and water taxis.

9. Oversee the inhouse maintenance team for the daily maintenance job scheduling and the expansion as per requirements along with the tools and equipment for maintenance.

10. Prepare the technical data required for Maximo system based on the vessel and breakdown maintenance.

11. Perform all the maintenance activities within the KPI targets.

13.Monitor and yze the predictive maintenance recommendations and perform maintenance accordingly.

14. Ensure availability to attend breakdowns during the operational hours of the vessels.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

1. Degree in Marine Engineer or Mechanical Engineering

2. Certified Ship Superintendence Lloyds Maritime UK

3. ISM certified DPA / Internal auditor International Cl Society

4. Sailed onboard Container vessels in international waters as Marine Engineer.

5. 10 years experience in Ship repair.

6. Familiar with marine standards & specifications and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.

7. Knowledge on IMO regulations and requirements.

8. Knowledge in best practice repair procedures reconditioning of marine equipment as per OEM.

9. Valid UAE Driving license.

10. Computer literate with good knowledge on MS office.
