Job Overview: We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Overhead Crane Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of crane operations and safety protocols as well as experience in a steel manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities: Operate overhead cranes to move and position steel materials and products within the production facility Ensure safe and efficient operation of the crane at all times following all safety protocols and procedures Inspect and maintain the crane reporting any issues or malfunctions to the maintenance team Work closely with production team to ensure timely and accurate movement of materials and products Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of the crane and surrounding work area Monitor and record inventory levels of steel materials and report any shortages or discrepancies Adhere to all company policies and procedures including safety regulations and quality standards Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues that may arise Attend training sessions and workshops to continuously improve skills and knowledge of crane operations and safety protocols Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent Minimum of 2 years experience operating overhead cranes preferably in a steel manufacturing environment Valid crane operator certification Strong understanding of crane operations and safety protocols Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents Good physical stamina and ability to work in a fastpaced physically demanding environment Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask Good communication and teamwork skills Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed We offer competitive salary and benefits package as well as opportunities for growth and advancement within the company.
