Job Description
- Troubleshoots, repairs, calibrates and designs circuits and fabricates electronic test equipment.
- Assembles, installs, and services a variety of equipment used in an electronics technology instructional program.
- Assists researchers and teams in the set-up of equipment for laboratory demonstrations and experiments.
- Operates, maintains, and makes minor adjustments on laboratory equipment such as digital oscilloscopes, digital voltmeters, analog and digital multimeters, capacity checkers, inductance bridges, and grid dip meters.
- Conduct or supervise the installation, commissioning, and operation of electrical and electronic equipment and systems.
- Assist in the design, development and testing of electrical and electronic components, equipment, and systems.
- Assist in inspection, testing, adjusting and evaluation of incoming electrical, electro-mechanical and electronic components and assemblies to ensure conformance with product specifications and tolerances.
- Set up and operate specialized and standard test equipment to diagnose, test and analyze the performance of electrical and electronic components, assemblies, and systems.
- Interface with equipment vendors for service, repairs, and upgrades as needed.
- Maintain and apply a current knowledge in modem safety practices as applied to electronic laboratory operations.
- Prepare and study technical drawings, specifications of electrical systems, and topographical maps to ensure that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements.
- Maintain a high level of integrity and discipline with a strong work ethic.
- Plan and implement methodologies and procedures to apply principles of electrical theory to projects
