PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The primary purpose of the Civil Structural Designer position is to develop and deliver highquality structural designs and drawings for projects within the oil & gas sector. This role plays a critical part in the engineering phase of projects ensuring that all structural components meet safety quality and regulatory standards.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and prepare detailed structural designs and drawings for various projects in the oil & gas sector.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to create accurate and efficient design solutions that meet project specifications and standards.
- Perform structural analysis and calculations to ensure the integrity and safety of designs.
- Create and review technical documents including design reports specifications and construction drawings.
- Coordinate with project managers engineers and other stakeholders to ensure designs are aligned with project requirements and timelines.
- Utilize industrystandard software and tools for structural design and drafting.
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes standards and regulations.
- Participate in design reviews and provide technical support during the construction phase.
- Identify and address any designrelated issues or challenges that arise during the project lifecycle.
- Maintain accurate records of design work and project documentation.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Mandatory PDS & MICROSTATION experience
- Must be available to join immediately
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Professional engineering license (PE) or equivalent certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 1215 years of experience in civil structural design within the oil & gas industry.
- Proven experience in the oil & gas industry particularly in the engineering phase.
- Extensive experience working with EPC contracting companies.
- Strong proficiency in structural design and analysis software such as AutoCAD STAAD.Pro Tekla or equivalent.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
