Mason

Main Responsibilities:

• Lay bricks stones and blocks to build or repair structures such as walls pathways and other masonry work.
  
• Construct repair and maintain various types of structures including concrete foundations walls and floors.
  
• Measure and cut materials to the desired specifications for masonry construction.
  
• Mix mortar cement or grout using hand tools or mixing machines ensuring proper consistency.
  
• Read blueprints plans and sketches to determine material requirements and layout.
  
• Set out patterns and foundations for construction projects ensuring alignment and level.
  
• Clean and maintain tools and equipment used for masonry tasks.
  
• Follow all safety regulations onsite to prevent accidents and injuries.
  
• Collaborate with other construction professionals to complete projects on time.
  

Essential Qualifications:

• High school diploma or relevant vocational training preferred.
  
• 2 to 5 years of experience as a mason (home country experience acceptable).
  

Skills Required:

• Proficiency in bricklaying block laying and concrete work.
  
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints plans and material specifications.
  
• Solid understanding of construction materials and tools used in masonry.
  
• Strong physical strength and stamina to handle manual labor and work under various environmental conditions.
  
• Good attention to detail to ensure precise measurements and craftsmanship.
  
• Problemsolving skills to address onsite challenges and material adjustments.
