We are seeking an experienced MEP Engineer (HVAC) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing planning and overseeing the installation operation and maintenance of HVAC systems for various construction projects. You will ensure that all systems and components are installed and functioning according to project specifications industry standards and local regulations.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare HVAC system designs drawings and specifications for various projects.
- Conduct load calculations equipment selection and layout planning.
- Collaborate with architects structural engineers and other MEP disciplines to ensure integrated design solutions.
- Supervise and manage the installation testing and commissioning of HVAC systems onsite.
- Review and approve contractor submittals shop drawings and material selections.
- Monitor project progress quality of work and adherence to project specifications and timelines.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with design quality and safety standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to HVAC systems during construction and postconstruction phases.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for HVAC equipment procurement and delivery.
- Prepare technical reports documentation and asbuilt drawings.
- Ensure all work complies with relevant codes standards and regulations (e.g. ASHRAE SMACNA local codes).
- Participate in client meetings progress reviews and project handovers.
- Conduct regular site audits to ensure quality control and adherence to design specifications.
- Implement quality assurance processes for HVAC system installations.
- Coordinate with the QA/QC team to ensure all quality standards are met.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an MEP Engineer specializing in HVAC systems.
- Proficient in HVAC design software (e.g. AutoCAD Revit MEP HAP).
- Strong knowledge of HVAC system components design and installation techniques.
- Familiarity with local and international HVAC standards and codes.
- Excellent project management communication and problemsolving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Certification in HVAC systems (e.g. LEED ASHRAE) is an advantage.
