The Electrical Engineer (MEP) is responsible for the design installation and maintenance of electrical systems including power distribution lighting fire alarms and lowvoltage systems. The role involves ensuring compliance with safety regulations and project requirements.
Design & Engineering:
- Design and develop power distribution lighting ELV and fire alarm systems.
- Prepare electrical shop drawings load calculations and technical submittal.
- Conduct voltage drop calculations short circuit analysis and power factor correction.
- Review and approve electrical designs BOQs and specifications.
Project Coordination & Execution:
- Coordinate with mechanical civil and structural engineers for project execution.
- Supervise the installation of cabling panels transformers generators and UPS systems.
- Work with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure smooth implementation.
Compliance & Documentation:
- Ensure adherence to UAE electrical codes DEWA regulations and international standards (IEC NEC IEEE etc.).
- Maintain documentation for design approvals permits and regulatory compliance.
- Assist in tender preparation budgeting and contract evaluation.
Testing & Commissioning:
- Oversee the testing and commissioning of electrical systems.
- Troubleshoot power quality issues and system failures.
- Implement energyefficient solutions for sustainable power usage.
Requirements
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering.
48 years of experience in MEP electrical design and project execution.
Proficiency in AutoCAD Revit MEP Dialux ETAP and other electrical design software.
Knowledge of power distribution ELV lighting and fire alarm systems.
Familiarity with UAE electrical regulations (DEWA ADDC SEWA etc.).
Strong problemsolving analytical and leadership skills.
