Senior Interior Designer

Responsibilities:

• Work as part of the Senior Leadership team to continue to grow our practice.
• Work with the other key staff to develop win strategies including client contact proposal preparation and preparation of and participation in client interviews.
• Management of multiple projects
• Performs as Project Leader on certain projects.
• Supervises Interior Designers or CAD technicians.
• Handle projects from Predesign Concept Design Design Development and Tender Documentation to the Design Stage
• Space planning & Selection of FF&E
• Prepares 3d sketches & renderings whenever required.
• Production of CADD drawings whenever required
• Presents the project through its different phases to the client whenever required.
• Marketing design services and client maintenance
• Processing of contract documents & assist contract administration
• Develops modifies and reviews production drawings and construction documents.
• Corrects and updates design documents.
• Develops solutions to technical problems and create interior detailing.
• Serves as an architectural resource for the Interior Design department.
• Is responsible for keeping all phases of a project on schedule.
• Performs complex interior assignments with minimum supervision.

Qualifications:

• 10 years minimum total experience
• 5 Years of GCC experience in a reputable design studio
• BA minimum in Interior Design Architecture or Relevant Engineering Field
• Creative designer with flair and technical knowledge to manage a full project from concept through to construction documentation.
• Varied projecttype experience is an advantage specifically Education Healthcare Corporate workspace and Hospitality. (Preference will be given to healthcare experience).
• Good verbal and written Communication Skills.
• Must be clientfacing and be able to manage client expectations. Able to build solid relationships with Client(s) to ensure the clients needs are being met and the most appropriate design is being proposed.
• Review and sign off ID design packages review and coordinate with other discipline packages.
• Excellent space planning skills are required. Must be confident to challenge the interior space and propose alternative solutions to meet the project brief.
• Understanding and working knowledge of Revit is preferable. Work alongside the Interior BIM Coordinator to ensure the quality of output by the team.
• Mentoring and training junior team members.
• Full understanding of typical ID deliverables and scope. Ensure that code and best practice compliance is being met within the design.
• Can manage daytoday workload within the project team to reach project completion including the general resourcing schedule for assigned projects.
• Good understanding of project costs/BOQ to make suitable design decisions.
• Technical knowledge is essential in interior construction detailing regulations understanding of construction language the responsibilities of third parties site inspection experience etc.
