Specialist Medical Oncology

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate patients' medical history, symptoms, and perform comprehensive physical examinations
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including biopsies, blood tests, and imaging studies
• Diagnose and stage cancer based on test results, determining the extent and spread of the disease
• Develop personalized treatment plans that incorporate the latest advancements in medical oncology
• Administer treatments such as chemotherapy, radiation therapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapy
• Monitor and manage the side effects and complications associated with cancer treatments
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients
• Stay updated with the latest research and developments in the field of medical oncology
  
  

Requirements

• Medical degree and valid license to practice as a Specialist Medical Oncology
• Proven experience in diagnosing and treating various types of cancer
• Strong knowledge of oncology principles, practices, and treatment options
• Expertise in ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, including biopsies and imaging studies
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to multitask and prioritize patient needs
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills for complex oncology cases
• Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care
• Board certification or eligibility in Medical Oncology
• Experience participating in clinical trials is a plus
