We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Planning Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in planning and scheduling for complex building projects with strong leadership capabilities. The Senior Planning Engineer will play a critical role in the successful delivery of projects ensuring they are completed on time and within budget while adhering to quality and safety standards.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop implement and maintain comprehensive project schedules using advanced project management software (e.g. Primavera P6 MS Project).
- Lead the planning and scheduling activities for multiple projects ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
- Collaborate with project managers engineers architects and subcontractors to gather inputs for accurate scheduling.
- Conduct detailed analysis of project progress identifying potential delays and recommending corrective actions to mitigate risks.
- Prepare and present regular status reports including schedule forecasts variance analyses and recovery plans for stakeholders.
- Monitor resource allocation and utilization to ensure efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.
- Facilitate project meetings and workshops to communicate scheduling updates address concerns and promote collaboration.
- Establish and maintain a risk management plan identifying potential project risks and developing mitigation strategies.
- Mentor and support junior planning engineers and project team members in planning best practices and methodologies.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards regulations and company policies in all planning activities.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering Construction Management or a related field; Masters degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in planning and scheduling for largescale building construction projects with at least 5 years in a senior or leadership role.
- Proficiency in project management software (Primavera P6 MS Project) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes methodologies and project management principles.
- Excellent analytical organizational and problemsolving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of contract management and cost control processes is a plus.
- Professional certifications in project management (e.g. PMP PMISP) are highly desirable.
- Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) and integrated project delivery (IPD) methods.
- Familiarity with scheduling techniques including critical path method (CPM) and earned value management (EVM).
