Understanding the overarching business objectives and strategies to provide informed legal advice that reflects the employer's needs and priorities
Supporting Business Units to achieve its goals by finding creative and effective solutions to legal problems, and by implementing processes and tools to improve the efficiency and quality of the legal service.
Offering accurate and timely counsel to executives and other staff members on a variety of legal topics (including corporate and commercial legal matters, corporate finance, international ventures, sustainability etc.)
Collaborating with management to devise efficient defence strategies and establish internal governance policies.
Communicating and negotiating with external parties (regulators, external counsel, public authorities, etc.), creating relations of trust
Drafting, reviewing and strengthening agreements, contracts, and other legal documents to assert the company’s full legal rights.
Utilizing advanced research techniques to gather and analyse relevant data, statutes, legal articles, and documents to support legal opinions and strategies and mitigate risk.
Developing and refining contract models and templates to standardize and streamline the contractual processes.
Dealing with complex matters with multiple stakeholders and forces
Conducting your work with integrity and responsibility
Maintaining current knowledge of alterations in legislation
Managing an up-to-date dossier for all entities under the assigned vertical, maintaining
What You’ll Need To Succeed
Bachelor’s degree in law and a juris doctor degree
License or certification to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
A minimum of two years of external or in-house legal experience managing corporate and commercial legal matters
A working knowledge of local, state, and federal laws and regulations that affect the business of the employer.
Proficiency in English written and spoken is a must
