IT Equipment Relocation Technician

• Collaborate with the IT department to develop a plan for equipment relocation, considering data security, functionality, and cabling needs.
• Carefully pack and secure equipment for transport using anti-static materials and appropriate packing techniques, ensuring proper coiling and organization of cables.
• Disconnect and reconnect electronic cables meticulously, following established procedures and maintaining proper labeling for easy reassembly.
• Load, unload, and transport equipment safely, ensuring protection from damage during the move.
• Set up equipment at the new location, following established procedures and ensuring proper functionality, including cable management for optimal performance.
• Conduct basic functionality tests on equipment to ensure proper operation after relocation.
• Maintain clear and accurate documentation throughout the relocation process, including cable layouts and connections.

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in IT support or a related field.
• Working knowledge of common computer hardware, peripherals, and network cabling systems.
• Experience with proper packing and handling techniques for electronic equipment, including cable management.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to lift and carry moderate weight (up to 50 lbs).
• Valid driver's license may be preferred (depending on the company).
