We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing costs and ensuring the financial success of construction projects. You will work closely with clients construction professionals and internal teams to deliver accurate cost estimates manage budgets and handle tender documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cost Estimation & Forecasting:
- Price and forecast the cost of various materials required for projects.
- Price variations and respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) from clients.
- Tendering & Documentation:
- Prepare and review tender documents contracts budgets bills of quantities and other relevant documentation.
- Ensure pricing is aligned with tender drawing specifications and site surveys.
- Client & Stakeholder Liaison:
- Liaise with clients and other construction professionals including site managers project managers and site engineers.
- Provide procurement advice and clarify tender queries with clients.
- Site Management:
- Undertake site surveys and check discrepancies with tender documentation.
- Coordinate with Senior Quantity Surveyors for markups and tender clarifications.
- Technical & IT Skills:
- Utilize Microsoft Excel Word and PowerPoint for reporting and documentation.
- Proficient in AutoCAD for technical drawings and Project Professional for project management.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years experience in cost estimating cost planning and procurement in the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of the tendering process and construction technology.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
Desired Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Word and PowerPoint.
- Experience with AutoCAD and Project Professional.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
