Our client, an AI-Driven lending platform is looking to hire a talented individual to join their team. The team consists of innovators and builders with domain expertise in the lending space. Requirements
- Experience managing a 15+ person recovery team
- 8+ years experience as a senior member for a recovery team
- The ability to work accurately and independently
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent analytical skills and an eye for detail
- Outstanding leadership and managerial skills
- Strong time and people management skills
- Ability to work to strict deadlines
- Proven ability to develop new business and maintain existing contacts
- Good IT skills and knowledge are essential
- Good judgment used to balance commercial loan recovery and compliance risks to achieve positive outcomes
- Maintains the highest professional standards
- Ability to build supportive relationships with stakeholders across the company
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with an ability to influence at all levels
- Excellent organizational skills
- Able to multitask, manage time effectively and keep calm under pressure
Responsibilities
- Achieve assigned recovery targets to contribute to the organization s financial performance to your team
- 95% collections rate by 15 DPD
- 98% collections rate by 60 DPD
- 99% collections rate for all time DPD
- An ability to manage a 15+ recovery team
- Build, develop and lead the recovery team to manage the firm s loan collection service and act for clients in loan recovery matters
- Experience dealing with bulk volume loan recovery, as well as bespoke complex collection matters for companies and individuals
- Strong knowledge of legal policies, procedures, and guidelines governing collection activities in Nigeria
- Aligning the profit of the business with achieving recovery goals - including detailed strategic analysis, forecasting, and account placement
- Implementing new strategies and tactics to improve collections and recovery performance, training and coaching staff to improve performance
- Up-to-date and competitive knowledge of industry best practices in order to position our client as an industry leader, while maintaining strong and sustainable networks
- Training and mentoring of staff members in the recovery department
- Ensuring that bad loan provisions are maintained and write-offs managed in line with the firm s policies and procedures
- Maintain high standards of financial management and record keeping
- Create and maintain the processes and structures to undertake effective due diligence at all times
- Remain vigilant for changes in FCA regulations and legislation
- Ensure all file audits and monthly reviews are completed accurately and within agreed timescales
- Provide updates on caseloads to management as required
- Act ethically and professionally at all times, acting as a positive role model in accordance with our client s behaviors and values
- Promote the interests of our client at all times
- Be flexible to carry out any other reasonable task requested within the office environment
