Business Intelligence Manager

• Design, write, and drive detailed specifications for development and maintenance of a robust reporting system measuring and driving content operations process improvement in throughout, cycle-time, and cost
• Drive development of quantitative models necessary for evaluation and implementation of metrics
• Manage and execute entire projects or components of large projects from start to finish including project management, data gathering and manipulation, synthesis and modeling, problem solving, and communication of insights and recommendations.
• Develop queries for ad hoc requests and projects, as well as ongoing reporting
• Managing AWS account and maintain the Redshift cluster
  

The following provides additional detail of the job duties and responsibilities.

Use analytical and statistical rigor to solve complex problems and drive business decisions.

Manipulate/mine data from database tables (ex. Redshift, MySQL, Oracle) using SQL.

Manipulate/mine data from log files by writing scripts

Develop analytical tools: deep-dive tools, UIs, metrics, and dashboards

Perform deep-dives and root cause analysis to answer business questions

Effectively communicate (written and verbal) solutions and methodologies to senior leadership

Work with engineering teams to enable the appropriate capture and storage of data
