IT Applications Development Manager

Our client a large manufacturing company is seeking an IT Applications Development Manager to be based in Abu Dhabi UAE. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in coding and development particularly in PHP CodeIgniter HTML CSS Bootstrap and integration technologies like REST and SOAP APIs. This role requires extensive experience in project management development methodologies deployment methodologies and a deep understanding of supply chain and logistics operations. Duties and responsibilities would include but not limited to:

• Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of developers testers and business analysts fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  
• Project Management: Oversee all projects within the company including planning execution and tracking. Ensure timely delivery of highquality solutions within budget constraints.
  
• Reporting: Provide regular project updates and reports to the IT Director highlighting progress challenges and recommendations for improvement.
  
• Technical Expertise: Demonstrate proficiency in PHP CodeIgniter HTML CSS Bootstrap and integration technologies (REST and SOAP APIs). Implement best coding practices and adhere to security standards.
  
• Development Methodologies: Utilize agile and waterfall methodologies to manage projects effectively adapting processes as necessary to meet project requirements.
  
• Version Control: Possess knowledge of GitHub or similar version control systems for efficient collaboration and code management.
  
• Logistics Operations: Apply strong knowledge of supply chain and core logistics operations including fleet operations backoffice operations store operations and invoicing/finance module operations.
  
• ERP/CRM: The candidate should possess a robust comprehension and knowledge of ERP and CRM applications as well as an understanding of core ERP modules. Experience with SAP or other enterprise ERP applications is also desirable.
  

Requirements

To be considered you need to meet the following requirements:

• Minimum of 12 years of experience in coding and application development with a focus on PHP and related technologies.
  
• Proficiency in PHP CodeIgniter HTML CSS Bootstrap Node JS MySQL React JS
  
• Experience with integration technologies such as REST and SOAP APIs.
  
• Familiarity with deployment methodologies.
  
• Strong understanding of coding practices and security standards.
  
• Experience working with agile and waterfall methodologies.
  
• Strong knowledge of supply chain and core logistics operations including fleet operations backoffice operations store operations and invoicing/finance module operations.
  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
  
• Proven track record of effectively leading and managing teams to achieve project goals and deliverables.
  
• Bachelor s degree in computer science Information Technology or a related field. A master s degree is a plus.
