Job Description
- Supervise and coordinate the maintenance and repair of all engineering systems within the hotel premises, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify issues or potential areas for improvement, ensuring the smooth operation of all equipment and facilities.
- Lead and manage the engineering team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation of staff members.
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities effectively, ensuring that workload is distributed efficiently among team members.
- Oversee renovation and construction projects within the hotel, coordinating with contractors, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
- Develop project plans, budgets, and timelines, and monitor progress to ensure projects stay on track.
- Develop and manage the departmental budget, including forecasting expenses, tracking spending, and optimizing costs without compromising on quality or safety.
- Procure necessary supplies, equipment, and services, negotiating contracts and maintaining relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as housekeeping and front office, to address guest concerns and ensure a positive experience for all guests.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe and secure environment for guests and staff members.
- Stay up to date with relevant regulations and industry standards pertaining to building codes, safety regulations, and environmental laws.
