Barback

Job Summary:

A Barback is a crucial member of the bar team responsible for supporting the bartenders to ensure efficient and smooth bar operations. The Barback maintains the cleanliness and organization of the bar area stocks supplies and assists in delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Stocking and Replenishment:
   

   • Ensure the bar is wellstocked with all necessary supplies including glasses ice garnishes and liquor.
     
   • Restock beverages and other items as needed throughout the shift.
     
   • Monitor inventory levels and report any shortages to the Bar Manager.
     

2. Bar Maintenance:
   

   • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar including washing and polishing glassware cleaning spills and disposing of trash.
     
   • Clean and sanitize bar surfaces tools and equipment regularly.
     
   • Ensure that all bar areas comply with health and safety regulations.
     

3. Customer Service Support:
   

   • Assist bartenders in preparing drinks during busy periods.
     
   • Deliver beverages and snacks to customers as needed.
     
   • Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner ensuring a positive experience.
     

4. Preparation and Setup:
   

   • Assist in setting up the bar before opening ensuring all equipment and supplies are ready for service.
     
   • Prepare garnishes stock ice bins and refill napkin dispensers.
     
   • Assist in closing duties ensuring the bar is ready for the next shift.
     

5. Miscellaneous Duties:
   

   • Perform additional tasks as requested by bartenders or management.
     
   • Assist with inventory checks and ordering processes.
     
   • Help with special events and promotions as needed.
     

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
  
• Prior experience in a bar or restaurant setting is preferred but not required.
  
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  
• Ability to lift heavy items and stand for extended periods.
  
• Knowledge of bar operations and mixology is a plus.
  

Working Conditions:

• Fastpaced highenergy environment.
  
• Must be able to work nights weekends and holidays as required.
  
• Ability to handle the physical demands of the job including lifting and carrying heavy objects.
