Job Description
- Leads and manages a newly established department, which has substantial policy and operational functions to achieve the Government’s policies in the areas of treasury, financial management and revenue services
- Leads and manages the departments core functions of budget preparation including coordination of annual sector planning, expenditure control, treasury and the Bougainville Public Account, revenue, including the Office of Collector of Taxes, government grants and revenues, accounting and financial services, payroll operations and secretariat to the Bougainville Tenders Board
- Supports the Chief Secretary and other departmental heads by developing systems for treasury, budget and financial management that enhance the ability of the Public Service to deliver affordable and effective services to the people
