ROLE SUMMARY:
As an HSE Inspector you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with health safety and environmental (HSE) regulations and standards on our airport project site. You will be responsible for monitoring and promoting a safe work environment conducting inspections and implementing corrective actions to prevent accidents and injuries.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Conduct regular inspections of the airport project site to identify potential health safety and environmental hazards.
2. Ensure compliance with local regulations international standards and company HSE policies and procedures.
3. Monitor and enforce the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) by all workers and subcontractors.
4. Investigate accidents incidents and near misses and prepare detailed reports with recommendations for preventive measures.
5. Provide HSE training and induction sessions for new employees and subcontractors.
6. Collaborate with project managers engineers and subcontractors to develop and implement effective HSE plans and procedures.
7. Conduct toolbox talks and safety meetings to promote awareness and communication of HSE issues.
8. Participate in emergency response drills and provide support during emergencies or incidents.
9. Maintain accurate records of HSE inspections incidents and corrective actions.
10. Conduct environmental impact assessments and implement measures to minimize the projects environmental footprint.
11. Support HSE audits and assessments conducted by clients regulatory authorities or thirdparty organizations.
12. Identify areas for continuous improvement and propose initiatives to enhance the projects HSE performance.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Bachelors degree in Occupational Health and Safety Environmental Engineering or related field.
2. Professional certification in HSE management (e.g. NEBOSH IOSH) is required.
3. Minimum of 5 years of experience in HSE inspection and management preferably in the construction industry.
4. Indepth knowledge of HSE regulations standards and best practices applicable to construction projects.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels.
6. Excellent problemsolving and decisionmaking abilities with a proactive approach to HSE risk management.
7. Proficiency in using HSE management software and tools for data analysis and reporting.
8. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
9. Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and work in a fastpaced environment.
10. Valid drivers license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
