Technical Product Owner - The Emirates Group

Job Purpose: At Emirates we believe in connecting the world to and through our global hub in Dubai and in constantly innovating to ensure our customers Fly Better.As a Technical Product Owner (UAE National) you are the bridge between the engineering teams and your stakeholders. You will help to define the vision of the products we create; drive the planning prioritisation and execution of backlogs and deliver new features that support our strategic goals. You will join us as a Technical Product Owner (UAE National) in our Innovation Robotics & Tech Futures team. This position is for a UAE National with experience in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence.

Purpose of the role

Within our Innovation Robotics & Tech Futures team you will be responsible for maximizing product value and the work of the development teams. You will work along with Technical Product Manager and Developers in our RPA Centre of Excellence using bots to evangelize RPA solutions and create a community of RPA endusers. The TPO will help continually improve these methods and processes. The TPO will work with various groups within Emirates and dnata and drive new features and improve existing applications. The TPO will have working knowledge and experience in an agile team environment will develop stories and will establish backlog priorities whilst introducing new solutions.

What Youll Be Expected To Do:

• The RPA Technical Product Owner is the primary product specialist for the development team.
• The Product Owner will work with the Product Manager/Principal Developer and business unit SMEs to elicit business requirements and translate into user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Assisting the RPA developers in clarifying requirements and helping them to understand the business side.
• Work with the senior RPA developer and Agile Delivery Lead to set realistic expectations for delivery timelines mitigate impediments and risks and ensure timely and quality delivery of RPA solutions.
• Coninuously working on RPA/BPM backlog refinement and adjust the priorities accordingly.
• Receive product demonstrations from the RPA developers and accept user stories as done.

Qualifications & Experience: Qualifications Youll Need To Have:

• Degree or Honours (123 or equivalent)
  This position is for a UAE National only

Experience Youll Need To Have:

• 5 years experience in product ownership/management in a team facing capacity though less experience may be considered

Skills Youll Need To Have:

• Whilst not essential some experience of working within an agile environment across multiple initiatives and teams
• Appetite for building and identifying value with a customer centric mindset.
• Wellversed with the tools for the Product Management aspects of software delivery
• Possess strong communication skills and be able to enthusiastically convey your Product Vision to stakeholders and effectively influence a wide range of stakeholders across the organisation.
• A positive attitude and an ability to drive discernible change and delivery at pace in a pressurised environment
• Build strong relationships with peers and team members
• Agile and innovative mindset with the tenacity to adapt and thrive in a constantly changing environment.

How Youll Work:

• In crossfunctional squads (Product Owner Scrum Master Developers QAs)
• We work within the Atlassian suite maintaining our backlogs in JIRA and leveraging Confluence for knowledge management
