BIM Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Support Technical Manager in establishing design deliverables list and schedule in accordance with project specifications and requirements;

• Lead Subcontractor design or Design Consultant design for the assigned package to provide design in accordance to the specifications and design intent;

• Liaise with design coordinator and / other Technical Engineers / Construction Manager in order to provide all necessary design in time;

• Maintain shop drawing flow to construction department;

• Submit drawings to Employer / Engineer review and follow up comments;

• Provide design information to Design Subcontractors, in-house designers and require information from Design Subcontractors, in-house designers in respect of design delivery schedules and scheduling of the design;

• Observe design schedule and present corrective actions;

• Indicate design variations to Contracts department;

• Lead Design Meetings, internally and externally;

• Observe compliance to specifications and notify identified Variations or Change of Contract Scope to Contracts Manager;

• Liaise directly with Construction management, and Quality management in respect to compliance to Contract Specification and FEED Design;

• Schedule revisions to drawings / documents and identify variations to contract scope of work, liaise with Contracts department to ensure notification to Employer / Engineer;

• Provide necessary information to either tender packages relevant to the assigned packages, such as Bar Bending Schedules, Technical data, etc.;

• Generate Request for Quotation / Instruction to Tenderers including its enclosures, e.g. Drawings, Specification and Reference Bill of Quantities;

• Request / lead technical discussions with Vendors and or Subcontractors and transfer obtained information into Negotiation Records, Technical Particular Conditions, Interface lists to enable Contracts Department / Procurement to issue Purchase Orders / Subcontracts;

• Port slippage on design deliverables schedule with the support of the provided Management tools.

• Detect problems, non-formulated interfaces, delays pro-actively, report to the Technical Manager. and seek for solutions in a timely fashion.

• Prepare/ liaise with Subcontractors for co-ordination sketches between multiple trades for site implementation and co-ordination.

• Reviewing IFC drawings, specifications and other relevant data from the Employer/Engineer and raise RFIs as applicable.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in BIM Coordinator role within the UAE construction industry.
• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related field.
• Proficiency in BIM software, including Revit, Navisworks, 4D and AutoCAD.
• Experience with PowerBI is beneficial.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven leadership skills and the ability to mentor and support junior team members.
