The Opportunity
The Senior Communications Manager for Middle East is responsible for external and internal communications supporting the regions Vice President/Senior Vice President. The individual in this role will work closely with P&G senior leaders across the region building corporate reputation externally and communicating business strategies/results internally.
The Ideal Candidate
Strong executive communications skills speechwriting media relations media training organization communications. Able to quickly understand and leverage an executives communication style and voice and translate their vision into clear messaging that inspires the target audience. Has experience leading company reputation brand initiatives and/or influencer programs. Proactively anticipates whats needed plans ahead stays in front of communications needs. Operates with agility and can manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Ability to develop deep understanding of both corporate and brand messaging and demonstrated experience constructing strategic message tracks and compelling narratives. Crisis and issues management experience scenario planning escalation plans media relations.
Has experience working with external partners and agencies to deliver shared business objectives media events external partnerships and development programs joint publicity coverage.
Key Responsibilities
Executive Communications: Lead development and execution of communications for P&G senior leaders. This includes internal and external communications via platforms such as townhalls leadership connects media interviews social media and others.
Corporate Reputation: Strengthen positive reputation and drive P&Gs thought leadership externally through publicity leadership forums and content development. This is passionate about the following key pillars: Innovation Sustainability Community Impact Equality & Inclusion.
Media Relations & Industry Reputation: Primary point of contact for industry media (ex. business marketing HR) and government media integrating global messages with regional narrative. Develop coordinated strategy and communications plan to strengthen P&Gs thought leadership including the following functional areas: marketing brand management product supply research and development. Reputational issues and crisis prevention and management for P&G and its brands.
Organization Communications: Engaging employees and encouraging confidence in business strategies and leadershipcollaborating withth HR organizational changeent and employee engagement (ex. organization redesign initiatives issues and crisis management)
Job Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Communications Public Relations or related field
6 years of proven experience in Communications/Public Relations including speechwriting media relations and media training internal communications and team member relations.
Strong leadership emotional intelligence integrative thinking and collaboration skills. Can effectively balance immediate deadlines while also developing plans for future programs
Shown ability to develop and implement effective communications strategies and plans with excellence and deliver strong results vs. goals
Experience working with the media government collaborators influencers and ambassadors
Strong written and verbal communications skills
