Job Description
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat periodontal diseases, including gingivitis and periodontitis
- Perform periodontal surgeries, including gum grafts and osseous surgery
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide as needed
- Conduct thorough examinations and develop treatment plans for patients
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and preventative measures
- Collaborate with general dentists and other specialists to provide comprehensive care for patients
- Stay up-to-date with new techniques and technologies in the field of periodontics
Requirements
- Degree in dentistry from an accredited dental school
- Specialty training in periodontics from an accredited program
- Current license to practice dentistry and periodontics
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Compassionate and patient-focused approach to care
- Dedication to providing high-quality, evidence-based treatment
