Procurement Officer - Blue Gulf Ship Builders

We are seeking a skilled Procurement Officer with experience in the marine or shipyard industry to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in sourcing negotiating and procuring materials and services essential for our marine projects.

Responsibilities:

• Source and procure materials equipment and services required for marine construction projects ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project specifications.
• Negotiate with suppliers to obtain favorable terms pricing and delivery schedules while maintaining quality standards.
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors subcontractors and suppliers to ensure reliable and costeffective procurement solutions.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to understand project requirements and identify procurement needs.
• Review and analyze purchase requisitions ensuring accuracy and completeness before processing orders.
• Monitor supplier performance including delivery times and quality of goods or services and address any issues that may arise.
• Manage inventory levels to prevent shortages and minimize excess stock.
• Stay informed about industry trends market conditions and new procurement strategies to optimize purchasing processes.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Business Administration Supply Chain Management Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Procurement Officer preferably in the marine or shipyard industry.
• Strong knowledge of marine procurement practices including familiarity with marine equipment materials and regulations.
• Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain supplier relationships.
• Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced environment and prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines.
