Job Description
Seeking a skilled Drone Operator to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities include assembling, preflighting, launching, and recovering unmanned aircraft to test and optimize operational systems. You'll validate engineering changes along with software and hardware during early development stages. Routine maintenance of our fleet of aircraft and ground equipment is expected, ensuring all systems are ready for function-specific flight tests. As a Drone Operator, you will play a crucial role in performing tests and demonstrations related to US FAA Type Certification. Your insights will be vital in improving processes, safety protocols, hardware, and software, streamlining operations for centers globally. Providing detailed feedback to our design team will be a key aspect of your role. The ideal candidate must be prepared for overtime, with an average workweek of ~50 hours, including some Saturdays as needed.

Work Environment
Work hours are Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, in a fast-paced and collaborative setting. The position requires a high comfort level with working outdoors, as 90% of the time will be spent in an outdoor environment. You'll be part of a close-knit team comprising 1 manager and 4 team members. While this is a contract estimated to last 6-9 months with a high possibility of extension up to a year, we cannot guarantee conversion to permanent employment as future work scope projections for 2025 are not yet determined.
