Description:
Main responsibilities will be to make and test specialty chemicals that are for the textile industry.
Follow SOP for chemical reactors.
Perform necessary maintenance on associated equipment
Perform quality control checks throughout the process
Complete job assignments per Lean manufacturing concepts
Accurately record system data as required per Lean standards
Physically able to perform duties in a safe and efficient manner
Glass Reactors; 300 gallons and 1000-2000 gallon size, Steam and Pressure, Reflux and Distillation, Straight columns
Steel Reactors; 250 gallon to 5000 gallon size reactors, Steam and Pressure, Hot-oil capabilities, Reflux and Distillation, Variation of Straight and Packed columns, Closed-loop Dimethyl Sulfate capabilities
Blend and Mixing Tanks; 300 gallons to 6500 gallons
Homogenizers; Capabilities for dispersing high melting polymers into an aqueous system.
Disperser; Capabilities for dispersing solids into an aqueous system.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
COMPETENCIES/EXPERIENCE: Minimum high school education, prefer someone with AAS Experience with loading and monitoring of chemical reactions requiring accurate additions to meet product specifications preferred.
Experience With Vacuum Systems Will Be Preferred.
