Pediatric Surgeon

Responsibilities

Conduct surgical procedures on infants, children, adolescents, and young adults

Provide pre-operative and post-operative care to patients

Communicate with parents or guardians to discuss surgical procedures and answer questions or concerns they may have

Collaborate with medical staff to design and implement comprehensive treatment plans

Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs

Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly

Maintain patient records and document all procedures in electronic health records

Requirements

Requirements

MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school

Board-certified or board-eligible in pediatric surgery

Valid state medical license

Completion of pediatric surgical residency program

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities

Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Willingness to work within a team-centered approach and collaborate with other medical staff
